Professional or economic partnership

The Animal and Plant pillars maintain regular links with production sectors through the preservation and characterisation of new genotypes that can be used for alternative agricultural systems. Representatives from the sectors participate in expert groups advising the animal CRBs. The plant CRBs are involved in public-private networks on plant genetic resources. They coordinate or participate in 16 public-private genetic resource conservation networks linked to their collections. These networks formalise their collaborations through the signing of charters or, in some cases, the establishment of a GIS (maize). Network partners can participate in resource conservation and influence conservation priorities, distribution, etc.

The CRBs in the environment pillar are involved in developing environmental quality indicators.

The agricultural technical institutes (ACTA, IFV) are permanent partners of the CRBs in the animal and plant pillars, maintaining links with the various animal and plant sectors.
