The RARe CRBs will participate in the Horizon 2020 European project "CIRCLES"

Son objectif est de comprendre l’évolution et la dynamique de divers écosystèmes microbiens au niveau de cinq chaînes alimentaires - légumes, volailles, porcs, aquaculture et poissons.

The Biological Resource Centers (CRBs) of the French Research Infrastructure, RARe, will participate in the Horizon 2020 European project "CIRCLES" Controlling microbiomes Circulations for better foods.

This project has just been accepted for a period of 5 years in response to call LC-SFS-03-2018 "Microbiome applications for sustainable food systems". It aims to understand the evolution and dynamics of various microbial ecosystems in five food chains - vegetables, poultry, pigs, aqua culture and fish.

The Coordinator is Dr. Marco Candela from the University of Bologna in Italy. This project brings together 30 partners distributed in 14 European countries. The CIRM is the reference laboratory for INRA in this project.

CIRM-Yeast, based in Jouy-en-Josas, CIRM-Bacteria associated with plants, based in Angers, Mediterranean Tropical Symbiosis Laboratory (LSTM) based in Montpellier, UMR Agroecology based in Dijon and the Genetic Unit Animal and Integrative Biology (GABI), based in Jouy-en Josas, take part in CIRCLES.
